PLUG IN Pest Free January newsletter

Well here we are, 2022 has arrived already. As we wish you all a Happy, Healthy, Safe & Prosperous New Year from Pest Free USA, we also want to reflect on the year gone by. Please spare a moment to remember those loved ones who have left us – may their memories forever live on in our hearts. In April of this year, our founder Mr Ray Connell’s wife Mrs June Connell sadly passed. We also come to learn in these last few days our dear French Distributor Mr JJ Bickel lost his mother of 88 years. Both are sadly missed. As we remember our loved ones, we also welcome and celebrate new arrivals to our families, and wish them the best of health, opportunity, positivity and happiness throughout their lives…

Let’s hope 2022 will be filled with hope, love, good health and many opportunities for all.

Which Is The #1 U.S. City For Rats?

According to pest control company Orkin, Chicago, IL takes the honors. Data kept by Orkin showing new rodent treatments from September 2020 to September 2021, put Chicago at the top of the list. It is suggested the brown rat has now become the most prominent rat in Chicago, edging out the black rat, which have moved more towards the west coast. Brown rats are excellent swimmers and climbers – making them even more challenging to eradicate. A female brown rat can produce between 8 – 12 litters per year, with an average of around 6 – 12 pups per litter. Those pups can start reproducing in as little as 8 weeks or less.

Chicago, IL has held the top spot for the #1 Rat City in the U.S. for 7 years running according to Orkin. Other cities on the list are •Los Angeles, CA •New York, NY •Washington D.C. •San Francisco, CA •Baltimore, MD •Philadelphia, PA •Detroit, MI •Denver, CO & •Cleveland, OH to round out the top 10 cities. With winter now upon us, rodents are more likely to enter your residence as they look for shelter, warmth and safety. Our Patented electromagnetic pest control technology utilizes the existing low-level electromagnetic field the active electrical wiring creates inside your premises. PLUG IN Pest Free pulse modulates this existing low-level electromagnetic field to create a No-Go Zone – effectively creating a hostile environment to rodents* and pests* – thereby driving them back out. A helpful tip during the winter months is to turn your ceiling lights on earlier in the afternoon and leave them on longer during the evening. If any new arrivals do enter your premises, which may happen from time to time, with increased current running along your active electrical wiring producing the required electromagnetic field Pest Free pulse modulates, this can enhance the performance of your Pest Free device.

*Scientifically tested against rats, mice and to aid in the control of cockroaches, PLUG IN Pest Free has been known to be effective against many other rodents and pests as anecdotally noted by numerous happy Pest Free users from all over the world. A list of the most common rodents and pests anecdotally noted can be found on our product pages on our website GoPestFree.com

Q: What are some of the diseases brown rats are known to spread?
Check for the answer and interesting facts below.

HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER BALLS…

This recipe was handed to us by our late founder’s wife Mrs June Connell who came across this recipe more than 35yrs ago, and has always been a hit on any table for any occasion.

First the ingredients. You will need:
 • 4 cups of rice crispy cereal
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 jar of crunchy peanut butter (approx. 16.3oz)
• 1 bag of milk chocolate chips (23oz)
• 1 bag of white chocolate chips (23oz)

Directions:
Please the rice crispy’s into a large bowl along with the powdered sugar and crunchy peanut butter.

Mix together thoroughly.

Once mixed, roll ingredients into small balls. We choose to roll them a little less than the size of a golf ball. Place them on a tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Heat up the chocolate chips (milk and white chocolate separately) in a bowl until the chocolate is completely melted. Fill a small pan up with hot water to place the bowl of melted chocolate in to keep the chocolate melted longer.

With two spoons, place one peanut butter ball at a time in the bowl of chocolate and roll around. Place the peanut butter ball now covered in chocolate on a pan. Repeat until all the balls are covered in chocolate. Follow the steps above to warm white chocolate if you wish to have both milk and white chocolate peanut butter balls. If you wish to decorate the balls with sprinkles, do so whilst the chocolate is still melted. Once all balls are covered in chocolate (and decorated with sprinkles if so desired) and placed on a tray, place tray in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate has thoroughly hardened.

Once the chocolate has thoroughly set, place on a plate or in a bowl, serve and enjoy…

*If you make the above recipe, we welcome your feedback and photos. We may just post your story and photos in next month’s newsletter.

A: Brown rats are known to spread many diseases including Leptospirosis, Salmonella, Hantavirus, Plague, Rat Bite Fever, Listeria and Toxoplasma gondii etc. A common way rats spread their diseases to humans is through their urine.
